Com'on think of it, our standard BHP is around 12 at the wheel...
With a 182 malossi kit/200 kit (no malossi tho'), PCV, Aftermarket exhaust, aftermarket air filter and some other things our bikes have a possibility to pass 25-27 BHP at the wheel (I think ;) )

That's over twice the power = plenty of more fun!... It won't change top speed very much to, maybe 10-12mph extra... But the torque, much faster from what I've seen!

How much would that set you back though, money wise?

Haven't read threads but how much does this cost?
You're looking minimum ÂŁ650 if you want it all done properly and all the correct gear and set up

Jheeeeze! Then aftermarket exhaust on top?
That 650 is just for the malossi and pcv without fitting then you have filter, power cam, then exhaust

Waste of time and money. Better to do your test and get a 600.
Not to mention you won't be able to sell it back on as a 125 unless you revert it all back. So in that sense, you're seriously cutting down your target market. Only people who are willing to have a fiddled with R182 and people who would, for some reason, prefer one over a bigger bike will actually buy it.
It will also void any warranty you have on it, and could cause some pretty bad engine wear in a short amount of time.

Do your test, save your money.

Bikerboy never had a problem so this is not true. Also the warranty that yamaha supply isn't worth the paper it's printed on. If they can they will get out of replacing anything under warranty.

R182 is mad fun I use to leave the stock r125 for dead pretty much any other 125
But on a serious level I would do my test than waste that much cash again if I could rewind time I would do this f the 182kit and buy the r6 but I did it the other way 182 test then r6 but make my money on selling the kit so I didn't loose anything

Didn't have a problem runs fine wouldn't worry about warranty

It could cause damage to the piston and I'm sure the rings would need replacing more often.
Definitely not worth the money for a bit more acceleration and maybe 10mph added on to the top end.
Damage what Naa man I redline the crap out my bike ride it hard everyday full throttle every where when I take off the 182 kit the ring and seals piston still look new

Exactly, loads of people say loads of things without actually really knowing or owning one of these kits. Makes me laugh how they all seem to be experts because they're going on other peoples opinions.

Well they brought it in twice for a manufacturers recall.... The sensor on the kick stand sensor were dodgy and 'may' not cut engine off when still down.
And another to do with incidents involving topple crash 125s allowing fuel to leak all over the place.
Lastly they serviced it for the 600mile Mark and tightened a bolt in too tight connecting the nose cone and fairing just beneathe that which meant the plastic was coming apart
