This rider probably could of quite easily made it around this corner, had he not been so intent on staring at the guard rail.

You can quite clearly see him looking straight ahead the whole time.

that looked to be good speed. it was a bit faster than the first bend he took but he looks as though he can ride comfortably. should've been no problem for him. i do like the guys who stand on those bends every Sunday and film everything.

it's also a case of 'oh shi*t! grab everything'. if he'd had left the clutch alone he may have been able to stop without using his bar end.

Also, the way he hits his hand in frustration.
And just gets on with picking up his bike...

He didn't look too phased by it to be fair.
Perhaps it happens to him a lot?

OH yeah! Good shout.
I hadn't even noticed that!

He pulled the clutch.
VERY silly move.

I think i could do with some lessons with cornering or just need to grow a pair and get leaning a bit more... noticed that even with sport demons my chicken strips are not the smallest, although this time of year just to cold and hard to get any heat in tyres.

The biggest 2 tips for you in the world Scott:
1) Do not try anything major this time of year if your tyres aren't warm.
2) Do not look at your chicken strips or try to get your knee down. Just lean as far as you are comfortable with.
Too many people crash because they say "Gah, I got chicken strips, must get rid of them!"
Especially on a tyre like ours, have a good look at it. To fully get rid of the strips your exhaust would have to be underground.

Yes, I did something exactly like this!
Back when I had only done a couple thousand miles :p

I made a split second decision.
I decided I wasn't comfortable with the speed I was going to take the corner, so I thought it safer to keep going in a straight line and stop.
Difference is, I made the correct choice. I slowed down enough, and there wasn't a guard rail.
I stayed upright :p

Haha, exhaust would have to be underground. I like that :D
