Hello I have a 125 yamaha wr r 2009 I took my left hand side casing off and there was loads of oil any ideas please not seen this before on flywheel side ?

how much is loads? a little oil in there is normal since there's a hole where the oil can get through (arrowed in red, flywheel sits where the blue circle is).

As you can see most of the area on the other side of that hole (the sump) is lower, so normally oil wouldn't really make it up there or if splashed up there, would drip back down into the sump.

Perhaps you leaned the bike over to the left before opening it, or perhaps it's a bit overfilled with oil?

Thank you yes I leant it over on the left for the stand and took the cover off and all of my oil came out of there was a bit worried

right so probably nothing to worry about in this case. Obviously please do check the oil level when you're done working on it (before you ride it agaion).
