hey, all. my name is Sam and i ride a YZF R125. it's a very good little bike, very fast and very good looking you should all try to get one if you can and oh, what am i doing.

had mine for over a year now and although it's actually sat in the back garden broken down right now i still love the little trucker for sticking with me and letting me abuse it. i'm inches away from a job so christmas will see her being picked up by K2 Yamaha and making her right as rain regardless of the cost. 15k miles and (soon to be) counting.

best of luck to you all, any questions and you/i will ask.

Tire Wheel Land vehicle Fuel tank Vehicle

Drew and I's bikes after a run in early June.

some mods so far:
  • S-Moto tail tidy
  • rear pegs off
  • tinted Puig screen
  • carbon fibre Scorpion exhaust
  • 110/80/17/140/70/17 Avon Roadrider tyres
could do with a few things:
  • new front and rear pads
  • front and rear lines bleeding
  • chain and sprockets
  • clutch plates
  • oil & filter
  • air filter
  • spark plug
  • valve clearances
  • L plates off
  • 182cc, PC5, power cam kit
yes, most of the things on that list are the 14k service. yes, i swear i will get round to it as soon as possible.

lol!! bloody hell bikerboy!
Now I know Peugeot do a turbocharged scooter.
And I know an ACTUAL turbo WAS attempted once...

But the person couldn't find a small enough Turbo.
Hmmm......

I bet it is just a go faster stripe, with the letters 'TURBO' printed in big :p

i've just been out to her to start her up and move her down the yard to avoid a flat spot (not been out for a week) and it feels like a dodgy piston on the front. fun, fun! :D

Am getting mine service this weekend £116 from pidcock. I swear the popping's getting worse. even bangs when changing gear. Sound like a rifle going off.

the service i can pay for, the parts i cannot. 14k is fairly big and there's the labour for changing the clutch plates and checking the valve clearances. both fiddly jobs which take time. oil changes are a b*tch with a Scorpion, too, as the downpipe sits right under the sump bolt, as you know. that's why i don't pay to have interim services. i can sit in a garage and do that sh*t myself.

a quick update, gents -
Renthal 14t front sprocket
Talon Anodised 48t rear sprocket
AFAM 428 132 gold and black X-ring chain
NGK Iridium spark plug
EBC rear pads
Yamaha Air filter
Champion Oil filter
2L Silkolene semi-synth 10w40 oil

all on their way. busy weekend this weekend making her look respectable. after that's done, it's clutch plates and springs. if that doesn't solve the problem then it's off to Yamaha.
