Well, there are two roads near me that I love to ride regularly:

1. The Basingstoke > Alton road.
I like this one, because it is only 5 minutes from where I live! It has some really great corners!
Only down side, is the lack of opportunities to (safely) overtake. It also gets fairly busy if you go at the wrong time.
It is a high risk road, and sadly every year there is normally at least one (biker) fatality =/

2. (please see link for the route) http://g.co/maps/ee4ps (Winchester > Petersfield > Winchester)
I will ride this often during my (extremely long) college lunch break.
It takes me through some lovely winding country roads, which offer a good balance between high speed, and corners.
Some amazing views, some quiet picturesque villages, and not to mention Loomies roadside cafe!!!

I've got two also,

1.
This is one I do half of each week to get to the steam engines, while the other half is done to visit a friend in Ravenshead.

Up the A60 between Nottingham and Ravenshead.
It's a fantastic road, fairly high speed, lovely views and great corner visibility.
It's usually quiet, and there's never enough traffic to go below the speed limit.
Most corners have good markings, and most are grip-surfaced.
Oh, and on the way back into Nottingham, the exit from the roundabout is never busy, 3 lanes wide, beautiful corner camber and perfect angle to get that bike leaned over. It's fantastic!

The second is a road you Londoners will do if you meet us by Ikea before the peaks meet.
The road into Matlock! http://g.co/maps/e2kc4
It's absolutely wonderful, starts with a straight high-speed section, great for a little top speed run, then through a beautiful long wide corner, down through a little village and back out into nice views.
Then onto the A6 for some fantastic fast cornering, never gets boring, and at the end is THE place to be in the Midlands for bikes.

This is mine: http://www.bestbikingroads.com/moto...uth-west-england-/dartmoor-loop-_1b08290.html

It is about a 120 mile ride for me, but I like to make a day out of it! There are plenty of pubs en route too! (unfortunatley they can only be soft drinks :( but still!)

There are 40 mph limits most of the way because the sheep Literally try to comit suicide by just walking in the road. (there are no fences btw), but most people do around 60.

Yeah, its awsome! It is REALLY easy to get lost though, so I usually go with my mate who knows the roads better than I do!

Beat me to the link :p

That website is what I use...
I plan a whole day simply by conecting the 'dots' hehe

When I come up north for the peaks, I will probably plan my route up using that.

I save those routes on to google maps, and that allows me to load the waypoints on my android sat nav.

This book seems to have many routes all mixed up with general map and so as I find it quite hard to work with maps like this I don't think this book is gonna be much use to me, I cannot work out routes as to much info and roads all mixed in.
