Insurance is just crazy when you're 17, The vfr and a car 600 are both insurance group 14, vfr would £700 but the car is £3000, doesn't make sense!

Only thing I would say, it is is a BIG bike. And it is HEAVY at 220kg.
But it does look like a good bike :)

Could be quite slow though when restricted.
Would you perhaps consider getting a different bike to use during your restriction period?

How much do you pay? I do like the 400s, especially yours :p But there just too small for me, a triumph tt600 is the cheapest insurance for me as sports bike, about £700. I'm just not keen on the looks of it

Give me some examples? :p
What exactly are you after?
I mean if you want a 600 sport machine!

Then an early R6 would be my choice, or a ninja600.
But they will be expensive!

If I wanted a tourer, then I would go for the XJ6 <- Cracking bike.

would love a ninja, but insurance is around £3000. The xj6 is nice but don't want to spend more than £2750 on the bike. If was going for that kind of style would be the fz6(naked) or er6n, i'm going to go and sit on a few so i can get a good feel for the different styles. Its so hard choosing a bike!

Have you looked at the CRB 600 F?

They are not too bad for size, and reasonable on insurance. (Still more then the R125 though, obviously!)

As for the size of 400cc's, I am the same! They are ALL too small for me, and as you say, the R125 is only just big enough! Thats the main reason I am still on the R125!

Have you looked at the Ninja 250? That is EXACTLY the same insurance (down to the penny!), and is about the same size of the R125, and 33 bhp legal.
