Why is my top speed lower after exhaust and tyre swap?

I have 110/70/17 front and 140/70/17 rear Bridgestone S22R.

Exhaust Scorpion red power

is that the same profile tyres as what was on before? I thought it's 100/130 normally - wider tyre, more rolling resistance, less top speed, though arguably more rubber on the road in corners, so that's kinda the tradeoff.

for stuff like this my physics teacher used to say think of the extreme/ridiculous example to illustrate the principle - if you had a tyre 1m wide you'd have way more rolling resistance but ultimate cornering grip vs 1cm wide it would be like running on a knife edge - very little rolling resistance but no grip in the corners. Same thing just less extreme.

re exhaust - what exhaust was on before and what year bike?
