Since yesterday I've had trouble putting my steering lock on. It goes into 'Lock' eventually, but doesnt seem quite as smooth as before

mine's doing this. i'm fixing it by getting a new lock set on warranty from Yamaha but that's because my petrol cap became stiff and bent one of my ignition keys. i think it's age and the elements. i never used any sprays on it or anything to look after it. it also looks a little, tiny bit like someone's had a jab at my barrel, but i can't be sure.

looks like it but i've only had my bike since september 30th
