Ok so here is a thread for you all to simply rant about anything you like.
Go ahead, it will make you feel better!

I will start off by ranting about this bloody wind!
My arms were aching this morning from keeping my bike on the road at a 45 degree angle.
(exaggeration, but it was still a fairly noticeable angle! )

Secondly, I wish to rant at some car drivers with SERIOUS cheek.
NO kidding, today I saw a car filtering. A big merc, or beamer (don't remember which).
I was riding down the centre of some traffic, on a particuarly wide road.
I look in my mirror, and there is is. BEHIND ME.

Yeeeah! I've seen a car filtering before, Z3 on a not particularly wide road, just coming through the middle of all the traffic.
Then had the cheek to cut me up and force me out of my place.

i am not a fan of people who make you feel as though they have more influence with HR people in businesses than they actually do. i still have no job. still, fingers crossed, it probably is me being impatient, i only went in yesterday...

Yep I agree there this wind is a killa. Went out for a ride today down A3 and struggled to get up to 74mph and then coming back was up to 83! This is making me think about the 182 kit more than ever.
wont help much haha, i know me having a 17 tooth front sproket doesnt help on ebit but with a strong head wind ill stuggle to get to 75 mph :L think im gonna have to get some new sprokets and see whats best :p

plus with the 180 kit with out the cam, all the power drops at about 8500 rpm :/

Does that not have something to do with such big front sprocket? isn't the standard 14-15? as with a 17 tooth in theory you could have much higher top speed than our 84mph? is the power band adjusted with the kit allowing an extra 1000rpm also?

i think it does, the standard is 14. and it would give a much higher top speed if it had the power to push it there, which th 180 kit doesnt, not atleast with a head wind, maybe with a tail wind and plenty of road i could get 100 mph but it will probaby never happen haha, and the power band on mine with the kit stops about 8500, got it on a dyno to sort the fueling best they could, and added bit more power but with out the cam the horse power starts going down at 8000 rpm and my highest point of torque is at about 5000 rpm. with the cam the torque is highest at just over 7000 rpm but the hp starts to run out at the same time but its still about 3 hp more with the cam after 7000 rpm (got my dyno results before + after and another bike with kit and cam)

Oh right ok, the kit allows the revs to go up to 1150 right? So that means the extra 1000 revs is wasted if your power loss is at 8500? Mine from stock with winds doesn't go much below 8500. When i do the kit with power cam was only planning on increasing front sprocket by 1. I think 17 is to much even with 182, you might find your bike better off with 15-16 as an increase of 3 teeth would require more than 182. Just a theory I don't know.

i know that but back when my kit wasnt running so great i wanted it to rev as little as possible so got the biggest one i could fit on the front :L ment that at 60 mph, highest speed limit i have to get to and from work and college, i was only doing 6000 rpm, because it used to shake rather alot for my liking, but its carmed down abit, still more than i would like but dyno place said its about normal for the kits so that stoped me worrying haha, will prob try a 16 tooth first as im rather light so could get away with it :p if not ill go down to the 15 and if i have to ride with my mate on a standard r125 round the town i might even put it back to a 14 so im gone everytime i pull the throttle :p

Yeah man I would imagine if you left 14 on front with kit acceleration would be wicked!

and yer the kit does add 1000 rpm, but for more speed you need more rpm so its not wasted as such just not at the highest piont of power production :) im not sure but i think most engins start to loose there power before they get to the limiter so adding 1000 rpm to any engine wont add power, just do more engine damage and allow it to spin faster lol

Lol yeah I guess, our power band is best between 7000-9000 and was hoping the kit would have pushed that up a bit or widened the range.
