Trust me you won't get close to 60 degree of lean angle with a road tyre. (I refuse to join the americanism of calling it street). Most of us don't ride on track tyres or on racetracks, I'm just making sure that those of us gonna ride on the roads don't try and get the bike over at 60 degreeson street tyres
What is the realistic lean angle for a road tyre? I am using Pirelli Sport Demons. And at what angle on a road tyre would you actually need your knee on the floor to not fall over?Trust me you won't get close to 60 degree of lean angle with a road tyre. Road tyre, in the main are a maximum lean angle of 40 degrees. The knee on the floor, is about gauging how far over you have the bike leant, not to act like a third tyre and support the bike, there are a few incidents in racing where a drop is saved by picking it up on the knee, but it's rare. What is the realistic lean angle for a road tyre? Never mind the lean angles/knee dragging, are you getting in and out of the corner as efficiently as you can. I have seen on track days numerous guys with knee on the deck with better and faster riders going round the outside of them still all tucked in.
FINALLY SOMEONE GETS IT!!!In Roads is better run slow so others can enjoy the look of the R125.
WOW!
Wish i lived near here.
He getting some serious angle on the bike! now i don't care about looking flash but damn that looks fun going round the corner that far over!Weren't we saying the other day that the SV isn't a good bike to get knee down on?P
