Got to agree, may be the postings will calm down after a while. Could always see how it goes.

They wont really calm down, as it is simply pulling articles off carious websites.

You CAN mark all posts in that section as read you know?

And I am unable to put them in a single thread...

All I could do, is have to aprove each post as it comes, but then that defeats the point of having the news automatically posted.
I can make it so that everything is posted together so you only have to mark them as read once per day...

either that or remove them entirely, up to you

Okay alternative found.
The MCN news is posted to it's own area.
And that area DOESN'T show up on the 'Whats new'.

This way you wont be bothered by it, but it is still there if you wish to read / comment on it.

A moderator can also move any content from there, to a more active area if they feel that the topic is of particular interest.
