Redoing a decent intro :p

I'm Killachipmunk, 17 from Nottingham.
Got my CBT done the very second I turned 16, loved it immediately!
Was determined to get myself a geared 50cc, and after looking through RS50s, Derbi GPRs and Reijus, I finally settled (after 3 months of looking) for a Yamaha TZR 50, in red, for £1100. She was named Tizzy, because I had no imagination.
She was a fantastic bike, never missed a beat, brilliant handling, kept me safe and absolutely a joy to ride all year. Oh, and it sounded fantastic, I spent a very long time trying to track down my unbranded exahust, because it was nothing like any 50 I'd ever heard. None of the metallic rattles, all lovely sound.
Here's the beast itself on the very last day before she was sold, doing what she did best.

I loved that horrible, smoky little bitch more than girls I went out with at the time, really did :p
Unfortunately took a slide in the worst rain I'd ever seen when some woman started to turn into my lane and I had to brake. She stopped, just in time to see my tyres let go.

Anyway, kept her for another 5 months until I turned 17 and looked at 125s, wanted to stick with the brand that had treated me so well and so the R125 was my only choice!
Managed to find one with 1600 miles on the clock in near mint condition for £2000, wasn't I chuffed ;)
She's called Fyona, and from the first time I sat in that seat, I loved her way more than the TZR!

As for me, I'm a trained mechanic up to a Level 2 Diploma standard, work at a Steam Pumping Station maintaining and driving the engines (shameless plug here: http://www.papplewickpumpingstation.co.uk/ come visit when it's in steam, you will not regret :D) and am generally looking for a way to do more engineering work. Can't afford any sort of project and nobody will employ part-time 17-year old mechanics, so I'm stuffed :p

Yeah man, that's why it took me 3 months to get one, got it really close in Loughborough too.
Which funnily enough is where I'll be studying Automotive Engineering :D

Same here ;P
Guy just up the end of my road's got the TZR now.
Wish I'd known the tyres were the same size as this one though, I'd have had them Pirellis straight away!
