So I decided it was about time I made my new blog for my 06 Suzuki DRZ 400SM. It will cost me £3399 all in, including delivery, down from £3495. It's currently got 480 miles on the clock, which may make the it lowest mileage DRZ in the country!
Just got a call from Kevin at All Bikes to tell me that they've finished servicing and MOT'ing it for me, and replaced the battery and that they're waiting on the remaining payment before they agree a delivery date.

I have quite a bit planned for the bike, but it will all be a big secret as I hope to do all the mods at once and because I know how you lot love my modding secrets, no matter how obvious they may be!

Bike is 100% stock right now and even comes with the ugly mirrors.

So yeah, keep an eye here and pics will come shortly provided all goes well!

I HOPE I gets delivered ASAP after Monday, the moment it arrives I'm going for a ride, there is the possibility it won't be until next week though as it can take up to 7 days, but they told me since I'm on the way to London for them, the courier company are more likely to be down this way quite often.
They offered me express delivery for an extra £60 but that's my tail tidy!

You planning a long ride? Have a ride up north, I go ride with you. I have worked on the DRZ, very easy to service etc.

So judgement day has been and gone for my little Yamaha, I'm £2650 up but one beautiful bike down. Despite this I will be taking a trip to The Oh So Holy Place of Transactions (aka the bank) tomorrow morning to deposit my money and transfer the funds directly to All Bikes so I can get the Supermoto styled ball rolling.
If my excellent mathematics skills serve me rightly, I will have £270.66 to spare, which will be going on the insurance deposit unfortunately. And then my next payday will be the 28th of this month, the day before I will schedule my monthly insurance payments to come out.
Going to be bread and butter dinners for the next few months annoyingly as the money I will be saving on insurance over the R125, will be going straight back on petrol :D

Anyway, here's to the future! *clinks champaign glass with whoever is reading this*

If it's bone stock you will be able to see 80miles plus on a full tank depending on your riding.

Reason why I get 70miles a tank is because of my mods and I ride like a loon

When I'm done modding it, I will be getting the same, and how can you own an SM an NOT ride it like a loon? I don't it's possible, let alone legal.

The truth, very restricted and lacks the power you want a Supermoto to have, I'm toying with the idea of sticking a 440 in it

My supermoto connoisseur friend (seriously, it's his biggest passion) rides this insane Husaberg 650 below (it's broken his foot twice kickstarting the illegitimate child)... He says the DRZ is a bit soft and gentle, not insane like the things they race in Italy.
Which at first makes you think it's bad, but then you realise... for a daily rider you want it to be soft and gentle and forgiving, rather than have a powerband like a two-stroke, need an oil change every 80 miles and break your feet trying to start the thing.
The DRZ is a great bike, but it's not meant to be as insane as the Supermotos that go on track, which is what people usually compare them to. It's meant to be your day-to-day ride with a bit of madness tucked in there.

The DRZ absolutely lacks power compared to others out there, but it IS only a 400 and will be my gateway to SM's. Still a LOT of fun and look amazing when modded well.
I'd love a KTM one day

Not to mention it's the only factory-spec SM that really got sold here. Most of the Hondas are conversions and the big WRs never appeared here!

Yeah, we were discriminated against when it came to SM's, they don't think we can handle them
