I would be up for this as one day I had planned to take my r125 from Land's End to John o' Groats. Never got around to doing on bicycle so maybe my r125 make it more realistic. In the summer time though, how cold my hands where when I went to Newcastle wasn't even funny.

I was going to say.. surely John o Groats would be a better destination?
THe Highlands are a much better riding area than souther England...

Better yet, what Scott said!

Or perhaps do the circumference?
Lands end, up through wales, then to o Groats?

Just an idea...

Besides,

THe trip you are suggesting isn't ACTUALLY that far...
About the same as what us southeners will be doing when we go do the peaks...
(when you take in to account the riding around the peaks)

I'd be up for arranging the end to end or now you mention it the circumference could be a good trip but very windy round coasts.

After the last couple weeks we had... You seriously complaining about wind? :p
Haha.

You don't have to stick specifically to the coast to be fair...
Although that would be rather amazing :D

Something like this, we would have to camp out. As we go along.
And a oil change part way though.

Land's End to John O' Groats is 930mi avoiding Motorways. it's not feasible to do an oil change on the trip. it'd be fresh oil the day before the rideout, then 2k miles on the same lot, then oil change when you're back.

Haha, I love that! Oil change half way through ><
But yeah, crikey!

That trip would possibly be the death of my bike =/
I am getting closer and closer to 20k every day!

With still no real information as to what the life span of our engines are...

I remember reading somewhere that our engine if treated properly should be good for around 50k
